About Ultralon
Ultralon Products started as a privately owned New Zealand business in the late
1970s, and is now a subsidiary of Skellerup Industries, an international company
known for the "Skellerup" brand.
In the early 1980s Ultralon invested in Sanwa Kako moulding technology allowing
us to manufacture low-density foam along with our already developed high-density
products.
Ultralon Products produces a range of chemically cross-linked closed- cell foams
manufactured from Polyethylene (PE) or Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate co-polymers (EVA).
The EVA Foams and PE Foams are produced in moulded bun form and can be trimmed to
your specific size and thickness requirements.
Over time Ultralon Products has developed markets in Australia, USA, Canada, Europe,
South Africa, Asia and throughout the Pacific rim.
Our success has been based on producing high quality foam over a wide range of densities
- something that other foam manufacturers struggle to achieve. Our foam in renowned
for its consistently fine cell structure, its density and its even colour dispersion
throughout the sheet.
This has given us the ability and confidence to design and develop finished foam
products that are exported around the world. Some of those products include boat
fenders and cushions, swimming aids, trampoline surround pads, bedrolls and specialised
foams for OEMs.
